The World of Warcraft movie will finish filming in just a few weeks, but it isn't due to WOTLK Gold be released in 2016. The reason behind this has to have to do with taking the required time to ensure everything is in order in addition to the busy schedule of movie releases for the next two years, as per the chief executive officer at Legendary Pictures.
In an interview with CraveOnline Legendary's Thomas Tull was asked the reason behind what appears to be more time-consuming post-production processes than normal. "Well part of it is figuring out the right date. You may have noticed, over the coming two years, there's some pretty significant titles due to the market," he said.is produced through Legendary as well as Universal Pictures, was previously planned to be released on the 18th of December, 2015 --the the same day as Star Wars: World of Warcraft VII. However, it was delayed until March 11, 2016.
The film is made up of live-action and CG and CG, the latter of which is being developed with the help of Star Wars effects studio Industrial Light Magic. Its CG process was an element in making the decision to hold off on releasing the film. Tull stated, "We wanted to make sure we had [the date] just right, however, there are certain sequences and certain things [director] Duncan Jones has done that are at the cutting-edge.
"You must have ample time to ensure that we have them dialed in. When they return home and are setup, it'll take just under two years. It'll take about 20 months, but we would like to take our time and make sure we're doing it right since the technology employed is a new technology."
Tull said that there won't be a scenario that the film is completed and then left to cheap WOTLK Classic Gold linger around. When asked if the time could be used, Tull responded, "Correct Absolutely."
